I have almost two decades of experience developing for the web in general, and over a decade of experience developing for and using WordPress.
I’m a member of the WordPress Accessibility Team, and I teach people how to use WordPress and other web technologies with or without assistive technology.
I’m also very active in the larger WordPress community.
I’m a huge lover of art and technology, and bringing the two together, as a front end web developer and designer.
I’m being playing with HTML, since that first Bondi Blue iMac came out, using table layouts, and Angelfire for hosting.
I’ve been learning about web accessibility for a little over 10 years. I was among the first group of people to become certified professional, and accessibility core competencies, or CPAC from the IAAP a couple of years ago.
Bouton Jones has over 20 years as a contractor and consultant in web design and web development. He has worked for Battelle, Keane, Robert Half, and AT&T as well as working on several contracts for the DoD. He co-authored QA Accessibility Guidelines adopted by the Kentucky Commonwealth Office of Technology, co-presented a session on Digital Accessibility at Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers 2017 and presented a total of three sessions on Accessibility at the Adobe ColdFusion Summit in 2017 and 2018. His team won the First Place trophy for best accessible web site in the 2019 Accessibility Internet Rally.
Carlos Cordero Alfaro
I am an IT professional with over 20 years of total IT experience, including 10 years of web development experience, of which 8 years have been spent supporting contracts for the Federal Government. During my time supporting Federal Government agencies I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge in creating Section 508 compliant websites, PDFs and other office documents accessible from multiple devices, browsers and platforms.
I also have experience in implementing Search Engine Optimization best practices and tactics to increase a website’s search engine rankings. Most recently I became employed as an User Experience Consultant performing duties as a web applications tester with an emphasis on accessibility.
Over 10 years of experience in testing as a committed tester, team player and as a team lead. I have worked on various challenging projects in different domains including finance, telecommunications, retail industry, websites, mobile applications and accessibility.
I have worked in different phases of testing including functional, user acceptance, end to end, pilot testing, beta testing and system testing. My major strengths are communication & interpersonal skills, strong reporting skills, proactive thinking, team management, time management, professional qualifications and knowledge in testing methodologies.
My current passion is Accessibility testing. I have performed multiple Accessibility Evaluation projects for Level A and Level AA standards and ATAG2.0 guidelines.
I believe in self-management, time management, self-organisation, team collaboration and pro-active learning to achieve goals.
Joe Burkhart works as a Lead Accessibility Solutions Engineer and is a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA). He has experience as a developer and also consulting with project teams to build accessible products and services that meet WCAG and comply with CVAA.
He currently works in the telecommunications industry where he focuses on providing accessibility tools and resources that project teams need for success. Joe is passionate about finding technology solutions to accessibility problems.
My ultimate passion is to be a part of the strategy and creation process for consumer-facing products that affect every day people’s lives and enhance them for the better.

Momin Pasha Mohammed

Accessibility Consultant for a few organizations including Deque Systems on web, mobile and PDF accessibility, ensuring clients are producing not only compliant content but usable as well. She’s been consulting for over 11 years on external sites against WCAG 2.0 standards and now 2.1, technical writing, UX reviews, presentations, remediation, assessments and training were and are still part of her daily activities.
She was an active member of the Accessibility Consulting team at CNIB focusing on internal and external AODA and WCAG 2.0 Compliance and has obtained her IAAP CPWAS and Certified Tester certifications.
In her current role as an Accessibility Consultant, Naveesha provides accessibility audits for clients, Usability assessments, Document conversion and promotes accessibility awareness & services to organizations within Canada and the US while assisting anyone in need of accessibility information ensuring compliance with the current Section 508 of the U.S. Rehab Act, WCAG 2.0, W3C and AODA standards. These duties compliment her interests of volunteering for fundraising events and helping others in need either internationally or in local organizations.

Currently as a senior accessibility analyst at Target india, Bengaluru; I perform audits on applications, website, physical accessibility, provide trainings, research on new solutions.
my total industry experience spans across ten years including eight years in digital accessibility space for a wide range of enterprise-level, large organizations including: TCS, Target India, Infosys, across a variety of domains such as Banking & finance, transport, e-commerce, Staffing, and HRWeb. I am an IAAP certified CPACC professional.
Rajendra is a Principal Accessibility Consultant at a MultiNational Company with extensive experience in Web Accessibility. He has worked with various fortune 500 companies ranging from Banking, Insurance, Universities, Healthcare.
He enjoys developing prototypes using HTML/ARIA and share them with development teams. He is a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) from the IAAP. He is an accessibility trainer, interviewer and blogger.
He has been a part of Open AIR from 2013 (as a participant/mentor) and loves to work with different teams across the globe and educate teams/clients on Web Accessibility.
Sandeep lives in Hyderabad, India and has been involved in the accessibility community since 2013. He studied at Bangalore University and is a person with low vision.
Sandeep became passionate about accessibility once he learned more about web design and usability testing. Now, he enjoys learning about WCAG guidelines how that pertains to the user experience.

Sheri Byrne-Haber has been working exclusively in the intersection of business/disability/technology for more than 15 years. She previously built a global accessibility team at McDonald’s and is currently doing the same for VMware. She has degrees in IT, law and business, and is CPACC and ADA certified.
Stacey Rayos is a Webmaster for Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin, Texas. A web developer for over 10 years, Stacey learned the importance of inclusive design when she began working with the highly esteemed Jim Allan at TSBVI in 2014. Under his patient tutelage she has become an enthusiastic evangelist for inclusive development and usability.
Suman Damera is the accessibility team lead at Deque India. He has more than 10 years of diverse experience in Accessibility testing/consulting/training. Suman is a member of the W3C ARIA working group, a certified web accessibility specialist(WAS), and Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC). Suman has a strong passion for being a constant learner in regards to all things accessibility/assistive technologies.
Thomas Logan is the CEO of Equal Entry and cofounder of A11yNYC – Accessibility New York City. Thomas has been working in the accessibility field for over 13 years. He got his start at UNC with a student project to make a digitized ancient world map accessible through sound and touch to a graduate student who was blind in the Classics Department. From there he worked at Microsoft, Mozilla, and a variety of accessibility consulting organizations, and ultimately his own company Equal Entry. Logan’s passion is spreading awareness and clear instructions for people in the technology industry to understand how to build solutions that work for everyone.
